Greetings, FAM members and Web3 Community!

In our debut newsletter, we're excited to share a wealth of engaging content and celebrations that spotlight our successes, foster our connections, and lead us on a unified path through Web3. Join us as we delve into valuable Tips & Tricks, with a special focus on BigTime this week!

BigTime Tips & Tricks

Navigating the world of BigTime can be as challenging as it is thrilling. Here are some tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your adventure:

1. Master the Art of Party Hunting: Finding a party can be difficult and coordinating with online friends around the world can be just as hard. Watching streamers regularly can be helpful to find or join the streamer’s party but they do not guarantee spots either (especially if the streamer is unfamiliar with who you are). Here is our recommendations: follow streamers who do involve community viewers in party building, utilize discord channels to express interest in creating or joining a party (FAM has normal and prestige party channels for this purpose), and look in Global chat for parties created by other BigTimer players around the world.

2. Stay Equipped: When you are looking to get involved in the Play-2-Earn aspects of BigTime, you may also find the term “Pay-2-Earn”. Although free to play options are available, an intriguing part of BigTime in its early phases is participating in Leaderboard and Token-hunting activities within Prestige Portals. If you want to participate more in the Play-2-Earn aspect, find out what the meta is for accessing Prestige portals (I.e Is it still 4 rares? 3 epics? 2 legendaries?). Keeping up with the meta may be an initial investment but one that is highly encouraged if you want to find Prestige Parties regularly while also finding access to Prestige Portals more often.

3. Join Forces: Teaming up with other players on a common discord or joining a guild like FAM can significantly enhance your gaming experience. There's strength in numbers, especially when tackling more strategy-driven token grinding initiatives. Also, the knowledge share within communities is invaluable to maximizing the opportunities during crafting events, shift in metas, in-game character development/building, and loot sharing.

4. Participate in Streams: BigTime demands a certain level awareness to ensure you are not left behind while others continue to take steps towards individual goals. If you do take breaks (and it is encouraged to take a break from BigTime from time to time), connecting with streamers is a great source to find out what you may had missed while away. FAMTV streamers are a wealth of knowledge willing to help all members of the Web3 community become more informed and prepared for what to expect in this (almost daily) changing environment.

Remember, the journey in BigTime is as much about the community and shared experiences as it is about individual achievement. Let's continue to support each other and grow together!

The introduction of 24/7 Streaming FAMTV on Twitch has been a game-changer, successfully running for about 2 months now. This continuous stream keeps our community engaged with strategy deep dives, game updates, and a space for friends to hang out and form parties. FAM Guild Activities Update

The FAM Guild has been busy over the past 6 months! FAM had many BigTime Twitch-related giveaways, online FAM parties, internal guild challenges and more giving back to our community during the initial exciting (and exhausting) Leaderboard Challenges to kickoff BigTime’s economy. FAM also finetuned the discord while launching a website. FAM is always striving to create an interactive environment driven by community involvement. Although FAM is primarily a BigTime guild, new exciting Web3 games are being reviewed and shared through our discord with many active members in new worlds such as Shrapnel, Night Crows, WorldShards, Boss Fighters, and Nyan Heroes. FAM will announce when our next Web3 hosted event will be on our website, on discord and in these newsletters.

Spotlight FAM Community Member: CustomeTV

CustomeTV embarked on his journey into Web3 and crypto gaming, initially enticed by the allure of digital ownership. His exploration began with games like Uplands and Splinterlands. Despite initially being misled by a scam community, he found genuine guidance that bolstered his confidence in navigating this new crypto frontier. Reflecting on his early days, he remarked, "I loved owning my own collection; whatever I wanted to do with it, I could — sell it, burn it, trade it. It was a great feeling and really got me motivated to learn more about the blockchain." This sense of control and the potential of other possibilities fueled his deeper dive into more intricate games like BigTime. With BigTime, he enjoys the ability to customize his character with NFTs and tap into real financial gains while playing.

As CustomeTV's experience in crypto grew, so did his involvement in the community through streaming on the platform Twitch. This medium allowed him to connect deeply with other gamers, sharing knowledge and experiences. He stated, "Twitch streamers have been a tremendous resource when I first started because I could ask so many questions and with the giving of information…Now I have an opportunity to do this as well." CustomeTV aims to create a nurturing space for newcomers and veterans of the space alike. He added, "I just want my community to thrive and provide a space for that type of positive culture. Streams are a great way of connecting people and I have made several amazing connections with my time here."

The technological progression of Web3 games has been significant, evolving from simple card games to sophisticated 3D environments that offer practical uses for NFTs. CustomeTV observed this growth, noting, "When Web3 games were first coming out, it was primarily focused on art-types and collecting cards to play card games online. BigTime was the fully rendered 3D game that introduced people to a different type of utilization for these NFTs. Truly, this game is laying the foundations for more amazing possibilities to come." The scale and complexity of these projects continue to expand, driven by significant investments and developments by prominent gaming companies taking notice.

Despite the excitement and opportunities in Web3 gaming, CustomeTV acknowledged the challenges, especially for newcomers. He humorously shared his early struggles with the technical aspects when he first started, "It is a complicating process to familiarize yourself with. I had to write an easy 24-step process for SplinterLands to follow!" However, advancements like the introduction of stablecoins such as USDC have simplified transactions, at least within the OpenLoot market, making the financial aspects of gaming more straightforward and less intimidating.

Outside of the digital arena, CustomeTV leads a vibrant life filled with diverse interests. He is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying activities with his dog, canoeing, kayaking, and appreciates various sports like hockey, lacrosse, swimming, and golf. His involvement in DIY projects and gardening shows his multifaceted nature, balancing his digital pursuits with tangible activities. He emphasized the importance of these real-world interactions away from his computer, saying, "Most of the time these days are centered around my [doggo, Bain] when I am not playing or streaming." Through these pursuits, CustomeTV exemplifies a holistic approach to life, integrating his passion for digital innovation with a robust engagement in the physical world.
