Let’s Talk XOCIETY: A FAM Favorite Web3 Game

We are excited to introduce "XOCIETY," a groundbreaking Web3 game from Cybernetic Studios, poised to transform the gaming landscape with its innovative blend of immersive gameplay, engaging storylines, and blockchain integration. Spotlight FAM Community Member: YarblesTV

YarblesTV's journey into Web3 and crypto gaming began in 2015 following a disabling injury in 2010 that opened up opportunities for new pursuits. Initially encouraged by his doctor to play poker for cognitive recovery, YarblesTV maintained this hobby during the height of its popularity. This eventually led him to relocate to Mexico but still near San Diego, California to pursue more poker opportunities after online poker became illegal in the U.S. However, as poker's allure faded around 2015, he sought a new avenue to use his newly developed skills and found Web3 gaming to be a perfect fit. He explained, "With poker, I couldn't find that happy medium... but with Web3 gaming, I did." His transition from poker to Web3 gaming was driven by a desire to benefit others while fulfilling his own interests.

The social aspect of Web3 and crypto gaming captivated YarblesTV, particularly the potential to help others navigate a market that can be complex. He enjoys showing new ways of doing things and preventing crucial crypto mistakes. "I love to bring a smile onto other people's faces when I show them a new way of doing something," he said. This community-driven focus significantly contrasts with his previous experience in poker, where he felt the game was more predatory.

YarblesTV credits the FAM Discord and MetFi communities as vital resources in his Web3 journey. Before discovering these communities, he felt like a lone wolf trying to gather information. "The FAM Discord and MetFi were crucial to my understanding of the potentials of the social aspect of Web3 gaming," he shared. These platforms provided him with a sense of belonging and direction, solidifying his belief that this path was meant for him.

As YarblesTV's involvement in Web3 gaming evolved, he found himself investing more time and resources waiting for opportunities like BigTime to open up. Early connections with pioneers such as 3pac, Mrs369, Killersaints1313, and CustomeTV played a crucial role in his persistence. He realized, "This is where I belong and where the world needs me to be." These relationships helped him navigate the challenges and inspired him to keep pushing forward.

Community engagement has been a cornerstone of YarblesTV's Web3 journey. He cherishes the discussions and interactions with various individuals he's met along the way. "They say the brain retains 5 percent of what it learns each day... I think that all has to do with people you learn from," he noted. These meaningful connections have enriched his experience and reinforced his commitment to the Web3 community.

A standout experience for YarblesTV was witnessing billionfootball help new players during the peak of the market. This act reminded him of his own efforts to sponsor poker players and reinforced his desire to help others succeed in Web3 gaming. "That's what I want to do... help bring them up to become successful themselves," he said. This vision drives him to accumulate assets that he can share with others, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.

To maintain a well-rounded lifestyle, YarblesTV engages in animal-rescue activities beyond gaming. Before a recent ankle bone injury, he spent years rescuing and rehoming dogs from Mexico to the U.S., a passion where he thrived and described himself as being the ‘dog whisperer’. YarblesTV did move back to the U.S. (New York), closer to family, during his recovery of his broken bone. No matter where he lives, which will eventually be back in Mexico, he continues to emphasize the importance of giving back to all living things, stating, “I spent many years doing [what I could for dogs] right after poker and before I found [opportunities] in Web3 gaming.” This commitment to helping humans and animals alike, both in and out of the gaming community, highlights his dedication to making a positive impact with whomever he encounters.
