BigTime Tips & Tricks

We are going to stick with BigTime again this week. Enhance your journey through the vast expanses of BigTime with these fresh strategies and insights:

1. Preparing For An Update and Character Wipe: When preparing for an update that includes a character wipe, aside from NFTs, nothing is coming with you. This allows you to effectively compare and recalibrate your strategy once the game restarts. Before the wipe, use up perishable resources like Artifact Fragments to gain any short-term benefits (possibly an NFT), as these will not carry over. Experimenting with new character builds and strategies can provide insights and a fresh perspective when rebuilding your character. Engage with your gaming community to share strategies and prepare together, turning the wipe into a collective restart that everyone can benefit from. Lastly, view this reset as a clean slate, an opportunity to refine tactics and perhaps enjoy an even more rewarding gaming experience.

2. Power Of Guilds: Joining a guild can significantly enhance your gaming experience by providing access to shared resources, collective knowledge, and collaborative gameplay opportunities. Guilds facilitate resource pooling, which can accelerate character development and enable access to high-level content more quickly. Members often share tactics and insights, which is invaluable for newer players and enriches the experience for veterans. Participating in guild-exclusive events or tackling challenging missions together can also lead to rewards that might be out of reach for solo players. Additionally, the social interactions within a guild can make gaming a more enjoyable and connected experience, fostering friendships that extend beyond the game.

3. Weapon Gem Crafter Value: Understanding weapon gem crafting may be overlooked due to its insignificant role (currently). Crafting your own gems allows for accomplishment of, otherwise, impossible quest objectives such as utilizing fire, poison, or shock gems. As you invest time in understanding the crafting mechanics, you will find subtle gains by the additional boosts from gems that provide advantages in combat. As BigTime has proven before, we do not know how significant or insignificant any feature will be from update to update so it’s recommended to at least be aware and willing to learn!

4. Stashes On Stashes On Stashes: Effective inventory management is key to maximizing your gameplay efficiency. Organizing your stash and prioritizing items by necessity can save time and ensure you have those necessary resources at your fingertips. Evaluate your items regularly, keeping only those with utility and purpose. Also, consider expanding your storage through unused pocket watch timeline’s by placing items in the bag slots after the main inventory (when your meta storage is filling up fast). Regular audits of your inventory will help maintain an efficient and lean stash, freeing up space for more valuable acquisitions as the BigTime adventures continue.

Let’s Talk BigTime: An Opinion Piece

After waiting a year since purchasing my first space NFT back in 2021, BigTime has captured my attention and excitement since day one of logging in. Early access through a ruby pass brought a thrilling sense of exclusivity and novelty to this new gaming concept. Despite its initial rough edges and bugs, the gameplay was compelling from the start. There was so much to learn and so many challenges to tackle without any guides or maps— it felt like pioneering a new frontier in gaming!

The game’s direction, particularly with the launch of its economy, has been a mixed bag within the community. From my experience, the economy has added a fascinating layer to gameplay, though it's crucial to note that returns vary widely among players based on their investment and engagement. This variability can lead to jealousy and entitlement, particularly among those who joined at different phases of the game’s rollout. Early adopters had a different focus—exploring and farming NFTs—compared to those who joined post-economy launch and are more exposed to the financial aspects.

From a development perspective, I've been impressed with the BigTime team's proactive approach in addressing exploits and consistently enhancing both the product and the gameplay experience. The game now operates even more smoothly and features improved graphics after each update, even amidst the extensive backend updates required to accommodate the new economic model.

What I appreciate most about BigTime is the community-focused aspects and the improved gameplay mechanics. Forming and maintaining a six-person party does make communication a challenge but creates opportunities for global connections (which is still a rare opportunity in gaming). However, I am concerned about the rising costs which could exclude many from fully participating in perceived key features like leaderboards and crafting. These high entry costs, coupled with a lack of transparency about costly bugs, could deter new or less-invested players.

Yet, despite these challenges, I believe in BigTime’s potential for success. The ongoing development and planned expansions indicate that what we're experiencing now is just a small fraction of what the game will eventually offer. BigTime stands out as a uniquely engaging project in the Web3 and the crypto space, promising an exhilarating journey ahead. With continued improvements and a focus on community and gameplay quality, BigTime could very well be a game-changer, both literally and metaphorically.

FAM Guild Activities Update

We are thrilled to share the latest happenings within the FAM Guild! The FAM leadership will be organizing a celebratory FAM Party to honor the incredible achievements of our dedicated stream team and to mark our exciting expansion into various Web3 products. This gathering will also highlight all of our efforts to positively showcase FAM in discord and streams amidst the emotional rollercoasters felt over the past seven months. Our journey has been marked by sustainable growth and an unwavering commitment to our community, and this event is a way to acknowledge and celebrate our collective successes. Details regarding the date and location of the FAM Party will be announced shortly, so make sure you stay tuned to our upcoming newsletters to catch all the essential information. Spotlight FAM Community Member: Mr.Best

Mr.Best was introduced to the world of Web3 and crypto gaming through BigTime, marking his first foray into gaming in over two decades, primarily due to his fascination with NFTs in 2021. His initial attraction was sparked by the utility within the game. "I came across BigTime with actual NFT utility in a game and I was excited to be a part of something so new!" Despite his friends' lack of involvement in Web3, he immersed himself in learning through BigTime Twitter Spaces, discussing the game's roadmap and future plans with Twitch streamers and within Discord. "My only interest was surrounding BigTime where I learned so much about Crypto and NFT’s so quickly!”

He acknowledges a steep learning curve confined to his experiences in BigTime, praising its depth and evolution beyond his expectations. The value-driven community interactions, especially in spaces like FAM Discord that avoid toxic conflict and encourage positive discussions, were particularly meaningful to him. "I needed a place to voice my questions, opinions, without the negativity."

Managing crypto wallets for transactions presented a significant challenge, Mr.Best highlighted the intricacies of onboarding and transferring money. "It still is scary having to know what wallet address to use, what network, how I am transferring around this digital currency." After exploring the existing Web3 crypto gaming landscape, Mr.Best hasn't encountered another project that excites him as much as BigTime had (and still does) while expressing a confident belief in its long-term sustainability.

For newcomers to the space, he emphasizes patience and the importance of taking time to learn about the game, the market, and the associated cryptocurrencies. "Pump the breaks! Take your time and learn about the game and all the aspects of the market and the crypto involved." He views the adoption of crypto by big gaming companies as a pivotal moment for the broader gaming community and expanding to larger audiences, stressing the significance of ownership in Web3 highlighting the importance to crypto gaming's success. "Ownership is so important...having that ownership of your NFT assets is truly going to be a big driver of future gaming title successes."

Outside of gaming, music is a pivotal aspect of Mr.Best's life, having turned a DJing hobby into a career. He also engages in wellness activities, enjoys cooking, loves animals, and plays golf, showcasing a well-rounded life that balances digital pursuits with physical and emotional well-being. "Music is my life outside of gaming...I also enjoy wellness, exercising, hiking, cooking." Through his journey in BigTime and the broader Web3 space, Mr.Best navigates with an enthusiasm for innovation, a methodical approach to learning, and a deep belief in the power of community and ownership.
