Let’s Talk BossFighters: Exploring Two New Leaderboards and Earning Strategies

The BossFighters Christmas LIGHT Edition leaderboard event has brought festive competition to the forefront, offering enticing rewards like game shares and exclusive skins. The next phase, Christmas EXTREME Edition, promises to raise the stakes with $BFT tokens as prizes, making now the ideal time for players, both seasoned and new, to prepare for the challenges ahead.

New players looking to enter the BossFighters economy should begin by acquiring BADGEs and SHOWRUNNER CONTRACTs. BADGEs, essential for earning $BFT tokens, are available in varying rarities, starting at $13 for a Common BADGE. Players can equip up to five BADGEs, but only the first slot is free. Unlocking all five slots now requires 33,000 FLEX after a recent 50% discount, offering scalability and allowing players to expand their earning capacity over time. Starting with a single Common BADGE is a budget-friendly option, while Rare or Epic BADGEs ($139 and $550, respectively) provide higher rewards for those aiming to invest more significantly.

SHOWRUNNER CONTRACTs are essential for crafting and recharging BADGEs. These contracts, starting at $42 for Common rarity, serve as the foundation for creating new BADGEs or recharging those that have been used in matches. By combining these with in-game materials, players can craft assets tailored to their strategy. Managing resources effectively ensures a steady supply of charged BADGEs, crucial for participating in matches and maintaining a competitive edge.

Once equipped with BADGEs, players earn in-game cash and items by participating in matches. Cash is a core currency used for various activities, while items collected during gameplay are essential for crafting and upgrades. The game’s economy rewards active participation, ensuring that every match contributes to the player’s progress.

Crafting is a key mechanic that allows players to upgrade their in-game items. Lower-tier items can be combined to increase their rarity, enhancing their functionality and market value. Additionally, items can be converted into NFTs, which unlock bonuses like Sponsor Marks. These marks are vital resources for crafting and gameplay, obtainable either through NFT conversions or direct marketplace purchases ($1 per 100 marks).

Not all NFTs will fit into every player’s strategy, making the dismantling system an important feature. By dismantling unwanted NFTs, players can obtain Fusion Cores, a resource required for crafting high-rarity items. The number of Fusion Cores produced depends on the NFT’s rarity—Common NFTs yield 1 Fusion Core, while higher rarities like Mythic and Exotic provide hundreds or thousands. Fusion Cores are indispensable for crafting Epic and higher-tier items, adding another layer of strategy to resource management.

FLEX, the premium currency in BossFighters, is integral to every stage of progression. It is used to unlock additional BADGE slots, speed up crafting, and participate in special events. FLEX can be earned through event rewards or purchased on the marketplace, with packages ranging from $4.99 to $499.99. Players can also acquire FLEX through box sales, offering flexibility in how they manage their resources.

As players prepare for the Christmas EXTREME Edition leaderboard, understanding the economy’s intricacies is critical. By equipping BADGEs, managing SHOWRUNNER CONTRACTs, and leveraging NFTs, players can create a sustainable earning cycle. With $BFT tokens as the ultimate reward, now is the time to master crafting, resource allocation, and strategic gameplay to secure a place among the top competitors.

Spotlight FAM Community Member: DiamondHands369

DiamondHands369’s Web3 adventure began in 2016-2017 with the game Lost Relics, a Diablo-style dungeon crawler that marked his first experience earning through gaming. Playing for just an hour, he earned an $80 NFT, an experience that left him awestruck. "I thought to myself, wow $80 an hour?! This is the future!" he recalls. Over time, he made around $300 from the game by selling in-game items as NFTs, but the solo developer’s financial struggles eventually slowed the project’s progress. Despite this, the experience left a lasting impression. "I thought, this is early stages, and I’m glad I made money, but I’ll be coming back when the space is more developed." Years later, in 2020-2021, he discovered Undead Blocks, a zombie shooter that reignited his excitement for Web3 gaming. Flying to Nashville for their first in-real-life tournament was transformative. He streamed the event for the Zombie News Network (ZNN) and made money competing, eventually earning a role as an official content creator for the game. "Web3 gaming was here," he says, reflecting on his achievements during this period.

What drew him to Web3 was the idea of turning gaming into a meaningful, rewarding pursuit. "I stopped gaming for a while in 11th grade because it felt like a waste of time with no return other than assets I couldn’t earn and online scoreboards," he explains. Web3 flipped that script, combining his passions for gaming and crypto into a single, engaging ecosystem. "Web3 reinvigorated my passion for gaming," he says, describing it as "the best of both worlds." For him, gaming no longer felt like a frivolous pastime but a platform for tangible value, ownership, and opportunity.

Communities like Undead Blocks and the FAM Guild played an instrumental role in his journey. "The FAM Guild is hands down the best community to join in Web3," he emphasizes, noting how the guild introduced him to like-minded individuals and offered vital support. These communities helped him understand the broader landscape of Web3 gaming and fostered connections with players and creators who shared his passion. "The FAM Guild showed me that people out there were just like me and just as interested in this space," he says. Additionally, influencers and groups like Icey Gaming, Doug Hype, and Sauce Squad added depth to his understanding and strengthened his resolve to stay involved.

The milestones in his journey highlight how deeply he has immersed himself in the Web3 space. His participation in Undead Blocks events, such as the Nashville tournament, catapulted him into the spotlight, while conventions like ETH Denver and RARE EVO opened doors to new opportunities. "Interviewing Charles Hoskinson and AJwritescrypto was a surreal experience," he shares, describing how these moments solidified his reputation in the Web3 world. His work as a video editor for AJwritescrypto and collaborations with CryptosRUS allowed him to connect with key industry players, further expanding his influence. "Filming and editing for CryptosRUS brought me closer to major figures like George from CryptosRUS and others in the industry," he explains, emphasizing the value of these connections.

Several projects have shaped his understanding of Web3 gaming, but Undead Blocks, SHRAPNEL, and Off The Grid stand out the most. Undead Blocks was his gateway to competitive gaming in the space, while SHRAPNEL demonstrated the potential of FPS games in Web3. However, it was Off The Grid that truly captured his imagination. "Off The Grid is the milestone crypto gaming was waiting for," he says, praising its seamless integration of blockchain elements with AAA-quality gameplay. His interactions with the game’s founders and key opinion leaders offered an insider’s perspective, further solidifying his belief in the project’s long-term success.

Looking ahead, DiamondHands369 is optimistic about the future of Web3 gaming. "Mass adoption is coming, and it’s coming fast," he declares, envisioning a world where Web3 dominates the gaming industry. He’s particularly excited about projects that blend VR, AAA-quality gameplay, and blockchain elements, noting that games like BossFighters and Off The Grid are paving the way. However, he also keeps a watchful eye on broader developments in the crypto space, such as the potential impact of quantum computing on Bitcoin mining. "I can’t wait to see how the Bitcoin mining community adapts to these challenges," he says, blending his passion for gaming with a pragmatic view of the evolving landscape.

Beyond Web3, his multifaceted background as a skateboarder, musician, and performer underscores his resilience and drive. Once a sponsored skater and lead vocalist in metal bands, he later pursued a rap career, headlining shows in his city. But it was his decision to go "all in" on Web3 and crypto that redefined his path. "I evaporated my previous life to start fresh and prove to myself that I could make it in Web3," he reflects. His journey serves as a testament to his belief in the transformative power of persistence and passion, inspiring others to pursue their dreams with unwavering determination.
